About
We think of steel erection not only as a means to complete a building, but as a way to build America. We work hard to provide for our families, and to construct buildings where great innovation, distribution, and success are created.
Here at Stephens Steel Erectors, we follow 4 Core Principles. Each principle builds on the last, and the culmination of all four create a successful steel erection company.
Safety: Above all other things, safety is the primary objective for our company. Every single day, our brave employees risk their lives bulding incredible structures, and it would be a disservice to them and their families if we did not put safety first. Every single person on our team is trained to perform their duties in the safest way possible. Here at Stephens our first prerogative is to adhere directly with OSHA and ANSI policies to promote safety and security on our jobsites.
Teamwork: The construction industry requires more dedication to teamwork than any other industry. Our connectors need cranes or forklifts to hoist the steel up to them, the operators need good groundmen to find the correct pieces of steel, the welders need quality connectors so their process is more efficient, and the entire team needs charismatic foremen to lead them. Then at a more broad level, each subcontractor needs to work together, so everyone can complete their trades in the best way. Teamwork is crucial to completing a job safely and on time.
Quality: There is a lot on the line when large buildings are being constructed. Every single piece of steel welded, bolted, or hoisted in the air has the possibility to cause massive failure if not placed with the utmost care. Lives are quite literally on the line if quality is poor, so stakes are high, but our performance always meets the mark.
Efficiency: In order for projects to come in under or at budget, every single minute matters. We take pride in the hours we are on the clock because we understand that one bad day on our side affects all other companies on the job. Our efficiency is derived from a culmination of our safety, quality, and teamwork. That is why it is our fourth and final core principle.
